Julia's Blog #9 7/27/09 - "You'll get a job as a guy," detransitioning, family 1/2

Vlog #9, had a "wonderful" conversation with my mom about my job situation. These are the results.

OK...What do I do? how do I respond to my parents about this? Do I let it be for the time being, or so I send an email or make a call now and voice my opinion? I need to think about the roof over my head, but at the same time, I need to think about my well being and what I think about my parents too,

My opinion about it all you talked about is: if one really wants it (to change the gender) he/she has FIRSTLY to get economic independence in a trans-friendly carrier, like caregiver, nursery, arts, beauty industry etc. I really don’t think it’s intelligent to start and go ahead transitioning if one has no resources at all and depends on someone else's money, principally because transitioning is a VERY expensive stuff and being jobless & pennyless is the last thing one would like to go through.
