Here is Nova's video promotion with audio by Colm Hays. "The station of the 90's" is what they were calling it, which seems strange back in the mid eighties! Greg Gaughran tries his hand at a bit of acting as he goes into their "luxurious reception area", puts down a piece of paper on the table and walks out. Hilarious! Head of music John Clark is interviewed. Tony Allan is well-dressed while he talks to potential advertisers. This is great fun to watch! Great to see my old mate Tony McKenzie in there, on the air. Fascinating to see good old tireless Paul Cotter, Nova's engineer in this video too. www.irishpirates.com

some confusion about the music policy? the v/o guy says nova is a hit station, it plays hits, right around the clock. then on comes the head of programming who says if they like a song, it goes on - 'whether or not it's a hit is irrelevant'! and nice to see one of alan partridge's sweaters make an appearance - just around the 3 minute mark. matching cuffs and collar - classy :-)

One of the BEST pirates..ever!
John Clark's programming philosophy is nothing short of brilliant! Love the "in your face" and devil may care attitude...seems that this combination is reserved for brave pirates who actually keep it live and local! I listened for years upon my visits to N. Ireland. A+

As Nova fan, its great to get a behind the scenes of the operation. Something which adds faces to the famous voices.I remember going to the nite club from Kildare to see the mast and operation. Its a pity they did not get the national licience.I dont think the establishment liked Chris Carey. SHAME
