A test of charlieplexed LEDs: n pins can drive n*(n-1) LEDs. I'm using 3 pins here, and I'm driving 6 leds. For more information about the concept, see this excellent tutorial: http://www.instructables.com/id/Charlieplexing-LEDs--The-theory/

CPU: ATtiny2313 @ 1 MHz (internal 8 MHz / 8)
Resistors: 3 x 220Ω

  • Very neat what the LEDs do there!

  • It is a really cool system indeed, and very simple once someone else thought about it. :)

  • Charlieplexing is lame, as you're limited to the current sourced by the I/O pins on the chip. To use that in a display it's too dim.
