  • Would people pay you to render their stuff for them? So, they gave you the Blender file and you rendered it out?

  • i don't really have to time to do that. I might think about it. Are you interested?

  • @ellswortha101 No not really, I have a fairly nice machine to work with...and not much of a 3D artist. I was just curious...So, is this farm all for personal use?

  • ok good, i have three nice computers with like dual core to quad core all with a 8800gt+ with cuda so its like a rendering beast lol

  • I just uploaded PART TWO (setting up nodes) feel free to check it out

  • Holy hell this is great! However I'm using linux for my blender render farm. I still don't know exactly what I'm doing though, I was going to use a clustering distro, but I think I'd be better just using ubuntu instead.

  • ill be making a linux version of this as well too though.

  • annoying music.

  • how much cpu do you have actualy?

  • Hi, Nice tutorial.

Can you tell me if i can use the same for other applications like 3Ds Max and MAYA?

And how many nodes can i use for rendering with this method?

  • @lowtone10 if you want them all linux then just put ubunto software on them all :)

  • Thx everyone, this has been most helpful, since there isn't a lot of talk about" how impossible it is", and "how the pros do it." Well I'm not a pro yet so it doesn't do me any good to know that XXX uses a $20,000 set-up. I think that a lot of ppl reach a level and forget what is was to be a amatuer or independent. Of course some never were and have no clue what can be done with the means at hand, yet they still want to tell you "you can't do something."

  • @ellswortha101 Have you already made this tutorial? Love to see it since i'm new to linux.

  • joe budden ??? what's the name of the song please ...

  • There are three ways to approach acquiring systems for a render farm: building your own, having a builder make them for you, or buying pre-built boxes. Each approach has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.for more info google out renderrocket.

  • Hello what you think about rendering 3d by VPN lan cause my PCs at work, home, friends? internet speed 3mb/sec
