Sigh. Thing is, most don't even know it's all bought off the UK. They think they came up with the format of American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, the Office, America's Got Talent, Skins... Saw a Yank programme the other day proclaiming how the 'Idol' series was 'promoting democracy all over the world - just another way America is coming up with new idead that spread freedom'. SIGH.
