They re-leased AVAs version a few years ago - it was very very good - dubbing is always left with doubt- look at My Fair Lady dabacle when they dubbed Audrey H. beautiful voice....

Ava wanted to do her own vocal, and her version was lovely, but the studio used Annette Warren instead. I think Annette sang beautifully and her voice suited Ava perfectly. If you didn't know it was dubbed I think most people would believe Ava did her own singing. My opinion anyway...

Barbra Streisand was 8 when this movie was made! Obviously she didn't do the dubbing. It may sound like her recording on The Broadway Album because she liked this arrangement and sort of copied it for her version.

shame Gardners voice was dubbed. I rather like her version. I think the person who dubbed her was Annette someone.

it does sound like Barbara's voice but it isn, it was a little known woman - you will find it in Lee Servers biography of her - which is a damn good read!
