Hmmm. Opera eh? Maybe a more like for like comparison is worth making.
I think this guy sings great. He has passion and power and he brings this tune exactly the right amount of both to make it special.

no opera singer would say that this guy has a good voice, no breath control and just shouts his high notes, that is not a good singer, good guitar player though..
