Unrolling a scroll from right to left can be a new experience. Painting a scroll can be interesting and a new painting experience too. I am working on one of moose in Labrador. It is a wonderful way to really get into a landscape instead of just looking at one. The scroll itself changes things and gives you a special painting experience. My scroll is not very good, but the experience of painting a scroll is rewarding. I appreciate seeing scrolls painted by master painters more now.
