well... Of course a little sentry on its own sitting on the roof is weak alone. TF2 is a group effort. With a good team that sentry is quite dominant.

Soldiers>turtle engys. It's easy if the sg is alone shoot it, if an engy is hitting it he is relying on his dispenser shoot it then shoot him then his sg.

Indeed. As for soldiers, you (engine) can just find out where the rockets come from, and try to avoid them while you repair your sentry.
No perfect sentry placement covers all entrances, but playing with more than one player on each team is indeed normal.

No sentry is immune to far away soldiers, and no scout will take that CP with an opposing team good enough to protect an engineer long enough to build such a sentry.
