This classic spring reverb is put through its paces with a selection of sound source. The wet and dry versions are swapped for a good A/B comparison.

Equipment used: HP Laptop for MP3 playback, Spirit Folio Mk1 mixer using line inputs set flat, GBS reverb unit, Microtracks 24/96 MP3 Recorder.

  • Great demo of a great piece of gear. I've got the grey XLR stereo version which I think is the first incarnation. Wouldn't trade it for anything... (almost)

  • Glad you liked it, 10 years ago I saw one go at auction for £25, I sold mine through eBay for around £200 earlier this year. A great unit for vocals and non-percussion instruments.

  • Oh my god this sounds amazing! Thanks for uploading this, I had been searching for demos of this unti for ages.

  • And it is currently for sale on uk eBay too! So you can own it in 6 days time!

Mail me for a link, or if you want to hear the original file in less compressed quality.

Glad you liked it. I hadn't used it in years and was also surprised by the "halo" for want of a better word that it created, especially for the sax sample.
