@mmth42 Sir, in the last two weeks we've amassed pledges from 100,000 people to recall Walker. In order to register a recall procedure in November we will need 532,000. At the current rate we stand to surpass 532,000 by summer and can easily reach a million by November. This man is a one year Governor, mark my words.

I can't believe that America is making "liberal" a bad word. Do people even know what it means in a political context anymore?

Wow, this brought a tear to my eye. I'm not from Wisconsin but have been following and donating. WI 14 and Wisconsinites you should be proud of yourselves. Thank You! for standing up against the Koch corruption. Recall Scott Walker! Solidarity!
-
@cjzydeco Currently, the pledge has over 190,000 signatures. But we've still got a while before the full recall effort an official petition kick off in November.

@TheVoiceOfWisconsin Any update on the number of signatures on the recall petition?

Does anyone know the name of the song and who sings it?

@finderofbooks [When it's a law, it's a right!]
When it's a law, all that means is that it is something that is legally allowable. Common language usage often loosely refers to this as a 'legal right'. I am talking about something different.
Note that federal workers do not have collective bargaining 'rights'. In 1959, WI granted public sectors the privilege of collective bargaining; representing the employer, Walker is now taking away that privilege. No rights are being violated.

@danL1011 Wisconsin has a public collective bargaining law in place since 1959. When it's a law, it's a right!

Very first protest was in Horicon on Feb 13th, 2011. Glad to say I was there as well! Solidarity - great vid!

@TheVoiceOfWisconsin [the brink of losing a vital freedom]
What is that freedom that you speak of? Collective Bargaining? It is neither a "freedom" nor a "right".
People have the freedom to work or not.
Rights are bestowed on individuals, not organizations (e.g. unions).
Collective bargaining is a "privilege" that exists only if the other side agrees. It is not a "right" b/c rights do not place obligations on others. It is certainly not a "freedom" as it denies freedom to others.
this is a bit late.. but people.. vote...! Walker got in because people did not vote.. you future depends on how you vote. it is your right as an American Citizen.. don't throw it away.. vote..

@talila6 You're not late. It's never too late to spread the message. And you're right, this Governor was elected because people voted based on their approval of Obama. They either voted Republican just to vote Republican, or stayed home (most of the Dems just stayed home). But I think people have learned their lesson now that they've spent the last three weeks on the brink of losing a vital freedom that they cherish, and have risen to the occasion admirably.

I am a Wisconsin state employee. A colleague in my agency sent us this link today. My wife and I are front and center by the railing at 2:14. She's been there nearly every day--I, lazy slob freeloader that I am, mostly have had to work. This is stirring and unutterably beautiful. It literally brought tears to our eyes. It has been a privilege to be a part of this movement. Thank you, and Solidarity!

@jubalh Thank you for your service to our State sir.
We never say that to state workers do we? We thank the military all the time, we sometimes thank police and firefighters. But the state workers? Never!
You and your wife inspired this tribute, as well as the many other people who were there... but the fact that there were many doesn't limit each individual contribution. At all. Thank yourselves! I'm just one Voice in a State of millions. Solidarity sir. ~Voice at WRR~

You are incredibly funny. Believe me, I have heard the same things about us state workers. The best part is we have openings, but yet none of those "millions" of people Scotty says he talks to every day, seem to be busting the doors down for an interview. Scotty has said over and over "people ask me...How do I get a job like that?" but yet no one seems to want to work in OUR prison. So, from one lazy slob, freeloader, bottom feeder state worker to another I say THANK YOU!!!

@Nrsjny59 It's all because, as we noted in the title of this morning's WRR #10 broadcast, "Scott Walker Is Lying" ;-)
