An obscure doujin PC game made by Mount Punch, the same team who developed Meipon and Komugi Show (Nurse Witch Komugi), and it stars Darkstalkers' Liltih in a cute SD form. Like other Mount Punch games, the premise is relatively simple but addictive, but Lilithrottle is easily one of the most complex of their games thus far. The game is currently being upgraded with better visuals and updated configurations. There is currently a trial for the upgraded version.

The idea of the game is to collect enough items on the level to open the exit door. Like each of Mount Punch's previous games, clearing the level is essentially an easy task, but in order to do well in this game, you need to perform chains by consistently defeating enemies and collecting bats without touching the ground (you can touch the ground, but you have extremely limited recovery time unless you bolt off it). To do so, you'll have to skillfully glide from place to place and land successfully, while "bolting" to save time. Bolting is when you push off of a wall in another direction after immediately coming in contact with a wall.

It's not as easy as it sounds though. The controls require precision and the understanding that in order to rebound off of a wall, you'll need to hold down the glide button and press in the direction OPPOSITE of where you're heading. This will cause you to slow down and land successfully, where you can then bolt if you desire. It requires a fair deal of practice to do well, especially when in tight spaces. Releasing the jump/glide button in tight areas and when appropriate can alleviate the need to rebound from wall to wall though. Lilith's primary means of attacking is by spining into enemies while wrapped in energy. She can also perform ground and air attacks and shoot projectiles, but you won't use those abilities much once you master gliding.

Lilith also has the special ability to charge herself with more power for a limited amount of time, which allows her to use a destructive spin attack that makes her invincible and can destroy obstacles as well as enemies that can't be defeated under ordinary circumstances and even destroy spikes. Its main purpose is to reach special areas with more points.

This video shows half of the first world. Enjoy.

  • From what website did you get this from? URL pleaz

  • @AnimeTeikoku The website that had this game had all of its badongo links taken down, though I imagine you can still find it somewhere.

  • Oops. I posted earlier about searching for this game, but I already found it 10 minutes later. Nevermind. However, now I'm wondering if there'll be any updates for the game as mentioned by Mr. Vyse?

  • I suspect that there will be, but I can't say anything for certain as to when. I can say that this is a video for the first completed version of the game I believe. The revision of this game that is in the works is newer and has a more stylish interface, with slightly improved visuals and some additional animations (EX: The title screen animates, where as it's static in this video).

Last I checked though, it was only in the trial stage.

  • Or rather, I should say that the devs were only offering a trial version. It might be able to be patched to completion, but I haven't figured out how it works yet.

  • Where can I get this!?!?! PLEASE!!!! I want to play this! I already have the Lei-Lei Dash game!

  • Do you still have it?

If so can you send it to me.

  • Well, the one I located is about 17 megs, so I think for now, I'll continue playing the completed version and wait for any future updates should they appear. Right now, I'm just enjoying and getting used to playing as Lilith. Wonder if there are any boss battles or challenges at the end of each world?

  • Where'd you buy them? Most doujin games are relatively inexpensive. Of course, the meaning of that statement differs from person to person.

  • That's good to hear cuz I just bought the game along with Bike Banditz. though importing them was quite pricey. But that's the price you got to pay if you want something that'll never come out in the states...
