@MrDip02 see, im comparing these guns as a military rifle. If you personally perfer the Mosin-Nagant as a backyard shooter, more power to ya!

@a2redneck anything with an internal magazine and control feed you HAVE to push the cartridge in the magazine for the extractor to grab onto the rim the ONLY disadvantage the mosin nagant had was the mount and the fact that you have to change the bolt into a bent bolt and that the 91/30 was only 5 inchs longer in length but to me i could care less about length oh and that the gloss finish on the mosin nagant stock was slippery for me when i sweet or something it's a harder grip

@a2redneck also you can't really single feed a control fed rifle because it does not ride over the rim of the cartridge when already in the chamber as with push feed you can

@a2redneck hell mosin nagant is a push feed which is better than control feed that's why rifles in the military are PUSH FED

@a2redneck you do realize that there are more to cleaning than just sticking a rod throught the breach there will be dirt and mud in the stock and this is modern life WE will have to buy rounds good luck finding and 8mm while i will buy 400+ 7.62x54r rounds for only 80$ so that it's a smooth design hell mosin nagant is extremely smooth to and just AS accurate and you really would not have a problem having a mosin break hell how can you break a rifle having black powder instead of gun powder

@MrDip02 no, just no. The Kar98k is simply made better. Im sure germans picked up their enemy's rifles & vice versa because of lack of ammo or breakage but just to say the german threw away their own rifles for nagants is just B.S.!! "rounds are cheaper" last time i checked, soldiers didn't have to buy their own ammo!! "eaiser to clean" No, they are both bolt actions just remove the bolt & clean it out. nagant is simple as the k98. The mauser action is stil used today in many gun design
