I'd say Clausen improved on Jackson's original. Though Jackson did well on the elegance, Clausen simply made it more fun (playing up to its parodic nature).

@insidemarket The song is an adaptation of Joe Jackson's "Captain of Industry," the main title from the Francis Ford Coppola film "Tucker: The Man And His Dream." The soundtrack is available from Amazon, but costs between 25-50 bucks for the CD (you can get the cassette for $8 LOL). The rest of the album is pretty good as well...more like '40s swing music while this is much more in the vein of 1950s "space age pop" music.

Indeed. That's a clear plagiarism or a homage of Coppola's composition. Nonetheless, very lively pizzicato.
