  • We have 3 pits (all rescues from high kill shelters). They have made us realize that we MUST open up a Sanctuary. We will be making this happen so that pit bulls will have a place to always live without fear of having to live a life on death row in any shelter.

  • @chazkray Chaz... when are you making that happen? We here in CO anxiously await your arrival.

  • Personally, I think good old common sense wins out time and time again.

If someone has absolutely no background in obedience or aggression training... sure... get a book.

Im 110% self taught and its all based on common sense and the basic military boot camp training principles:

Tear them down, and build them back up again with confidence and security, good diets, proper discipline and structure, lots of exercise and constructive stimuli, and a whole lot of love.

  • I spoke with a man who trained and showed dogs for years, he said that the breeding for gentleness to people is a myth, but it is always true that an aggressive dog is the fault of the owners. He recommended "Good Owners, Great Dogs" by Brian Kilcommons and Sarah Wilson as one of, if not the best dog training manual out there.

  • thank you for sharing.

  • Did you know that even when pitbulls are in the pit, fighting, the owners are in the pit with them encouraging and goading them on? Do you know why this is? It is because pitbulls are bread to be very gentle and unaggressive towards humans. That is why. My understanding is that dogs have to be abused to make them fight. So, except in very specific and extenuating circumstances (Eg. dog protecting owner) if a dog bites a person the owners should be banned from owning dogs.

  • stay tuned to my channel...

    "TEAM PIT-a-Full RAW" coming soon.

We will attempt to blow discrimination and stereotyping sky high.
