If people used the same argument and reasoning of racism than the Quran is consider a racist book using the same reasoning. 1. The Quran is anti-Semitic. 2. The Quran is anti-Christian. 3. Muhammad showed racism towards blacks. 4. Muhammad showed that he was anti-female. 5. Hadiths are anti-gay and Lesbian.
So using the same standards one could make the argument that one is PREVENTING racism and gender inequality by criticizing Islam.

Saudi Arabia and Iran once had an open free society before Islam when it came being able to choose your own religion.
Before Islam Saudi Arabia had Judaism, Christianity, Paganism and other religions. Women could run businesses and rule. The people of Saudi Arabia were actually more tolerant toward Muhammad than he was to them after Islam took over.

Did you see what happened in Indonesia's most conservative island of Aceh. Just recently goth and punk rockers were taken from a concert and their heads were shaved and they were forced out of their clothes. Than they were forced into strict Islamic schools and programs. Instead of encouraging innovation and individualism they are squashing it with Islam.
Islam is about strict conformity and the raise of Wahabism is squashing innovation and innovation is seen as Satanic and unIslamic.

Tunsia was the 1st domino in the whole "Arab Spring" and it was economical and 1st and than Islamist and Progressives siezed the moment to have regime change, but the Progressives misread how the populace would react. Some of the Progressives thought there would be a Western style democracy, but Islamists took it upon themselves to seize control using the cause of Islam and the hate of Jews, Israel and the west.
