The Magician - Pilot Pt 2/9 - 1973 Bill Bixby

TRIVIA: This part has unique opening credits going along with the theme music. In subsequent episodes, the clip of Elizabeth Ashley kissing Bill Bixby has been replaced by a similar clip with another young & beautiful lady. (This quite probably to avoid paying royalties to Ms. Ashley for the length of the series, no doubt.) There would be 2 more different opening credit intros for this series.

TRIVIA: apparently the actor who played the doctor here (Tol Avery) died at 58, a mere 5 months after this episode aired, in August 1973, and 1 day shy of his birthday! He had been President of the California Professional Hypnotists Association.

Will be using this if I can too... notice how the intro starts here just like many shows. Other shows at the time (Hulk included) starts the intro before any action. :P

@aimhigh2k2 You're welcome to use it. Yes this is the pilot so it's like a TV movie since they didn't know if it would be picked up or not. (Thank God it did!) So the intro is in the middle looking cool. All subsequent episodes have the intro in the beginning. I think it's the same w/the Hulk pilot (was released in theaters in Europe).
