This is my 2008 Dodge Nitro R/T. Since the stock exhaust already had mandrel bends in it, I just replaced the muffler. I also kept the resonator on the tip becuase I didnt know what it would sound like without it. Better safe than sorry in my opinion. The muffler is a Magnaflow. I dont know the model name of it but the part number is 11226. I also decided not to put an exhaust tip on it, just to keep with the clean look it had while it was still stock

  • What length is the muffler itself? The stock muffler is 25" and when I went in they told me to find a muffler between 22-28" otherwise it will sound like an outboard motor, kind of like this one does...no offense.

  • @waystingtime I actualy have a new exhaust set-up now. This one started sounding like a Ricer after the muffler got broken in. Look for the vid with a side exhaust.

  • mannnn I SOOOOOO want a Nitro <3

  • Talk to MoparPerformance, they have a Dodge Nitro HEMI, damn nice!!!

  • Nice, my dad is getting a nitro probably next week or the week after.

Also, Colorado for the win! :D

  • Actually, I recently discovered something about my Nitro. As I've said before, there was a resonator at the tip of the exhaust. I also found that once past the 2 catalytic converters, it goes into a "Y", and right after the "Y" there is another resonator. So once I get the money for it, I'm going to get that second resonator taken off

  • Does that mean you'll take a few of the catalytic converters off?

  • I did not say the did restrict flow......I said it SOUNDS restrictive because of it and the 4k rev limit. I never said it did

  • Resonators are not going to restrict flow in any way. How bout taking 2 of the 3 catalytic converters off. If you wanna talk about restriction that is where you should start.

  • It sounds restrictive because the Nitros have a 4k rev limit. Also, at the time of this video, it still had the resonator on the tip of the exhaust
