Can anyone answer whether this is the same weapon Finns had mounted on an armored train they used north of Lake Ladoga in the 1939-1940 Winter War? All I know is they had French 75 guns on the train.

Nice footage, thanks for this. Look at the rapid-fire sequence beginning at 0:50, and just imagine how devastating that fire would have been against closely-packed, advancing infantry. It must have been horrifying, and it happened time and again during the First World War. Hard to believe...

Thanks for the footage, always wanted to view its firing rate. Anyone else notice the cavalryman knock some pod sod down around 49seconds?

Is the purpose of those two little nubs at the front of the barrel just a little stand?

I asked the same question! Here's the answer I got;
It is called 'Galet de la bouche' or 'muzzle roller' and it is a guide during recoil. Two small rollers that provide a smooth ride into the cradle housing during recoil.
