Wow! That's cool. I didn't know there were clear covers for 1/48 Valks! (I'm gonna need to spend more time at the forums!).
I agree with what you say about about a set with "all" parts of the set being clear. It'd really look kind of funny, showing the plastic joints, pegs, and stuff. I'm yet to get a set of these... these are really not on my priority list. I'm still battling to get more 1/60 Valks... I'd love to have them all, but can't buy them all at once! Anyhow, thanks for sharing man.
Whoops! Didn't see your comment. Just left one about the 1/48 version being a Dengeki Hobby exclusive, too. So, you want a transparent mold of ALL the armor parts? Not sure if that would look good. The thing about the clear parts is that they are just covers parts. When removed, they show the detail underneath. In the case of the clear versions, you can see the detail through the parts. Clear parts of the rest of the armor would just show unattractive plastic joints and pegs, not real detail.
Actually, they were released for the 1/48's. They pop up on eBay from time to time. I have a few sets myself. I think they were a Dengeki Hobby mag exclusive a few years ago. I was able to get a few sets from a Macross World member who lived in Japan and was able to order them for other members.
If you go to macrossworld, you can see that they were available for the 1/48. This was only through a Dengeki Hobby magazine mail-in campaign. Do you think you could direct me to a hobby shop of some sort that would be willing to make a transparent mold of the original? Who would specialize in this sort of thing?
Yeah, you're right, the set of Super & Strike Parts for 1/60 Valks costs about $40. This covers are indeed over priced. I don't own these... I agree, they cost too much for what they are. I think they're pretty cool, but they're way over priced.

Yes, I know what you mean.

Oh no. I'm not talking about a mold of the whole thing. Just the covers like the ones shown in this video, that's all.

There are none. These clear covers are only for 1/60 scale Valks.
