Bickert sounds the same with a regular tele - see YouTube " I never been in love before"
He probably got the hum-bucker for Hum.
I know he uses round wounds .13 e string
cause I asked him a while back.
I like his style chords are like fender Rhodes
7th in base jazz piano style.

@DjangoVanGogh Thanks. Make sure you check out Ed Bickert! I'm playing through a FX pedal's USB port directly into the computer. Stings are either 12-52 flatwounds or 11-50, I forgot whcih.

great sound which pots are in the guitar 250k or 500k if I may ask and I see that the pickup is mounted in reverse ???

@rickk1947 I'm not sure on the pots. But I don't think the pickup is on backwards.

Do you think there is a BIG difference between the single coil neck pick up and the gibson 57?

I'm not sure: I never owned a single coil in the neck position tele (this is a tele special: it came with a humbucker which I upgraded). But in general, I don't hear the subtleties that other people insist are there. But I rarely play with distortion, and these things matter more when one does.
