how do you mean? like keep a continued tempo in a solo? because if that´s what you mean then you are wrong man..listen to his oldies like Rising force and marching out and trilogy album...but after those records he really started to improvise a lot on the records and live so that´s my answer for that..but if you meant that he don´t keep time well as in changing a style? then the answer is Why should he??he still makes millions on that style..while others don´t..because they are not YNGWIE

@HyperfastMalmsteen i mean he knows exactly when to end his solos/licks on the right beat but what he plays before that final on the beat ending is often out of time. i think people just assume beacause of the reputation the that malmsteen has that he plays perfectly in time however, if u take a closer look it is often not in time at all. though this seems to be the style he's going for.

I'm pretty sure that he explains why he does that in a video, He does it on purpose. He likes to blaze ahead of the backing music so that he can take center stage, it's how he adds a bit of personality to it.

Either way both are incredible guitarists, And i love Marcello's playing. It's completely different from Yngwie's.

@HyperfastMalmsteen Your right there is nothing here i haven't heard release of rising force1984..Yngwie has become like a big mack hamburger if you change it the masses don't get it..Kinda like ACDC sound..Good playing though but to me neoclassical could learn a lot from albums like colma or electric tears but their not classical.. Or if you like ''Beaten with sledges'' and ''escape from inbred mountain'' That's if you fancy cartoon metal that might even drop kick the shit out of pantera

@HyperfastMalmsteen hey if you wana be as good as malmsteen, learn 20-30 licks very well, and use em over and over again. yngwie uses the same fuckin licks lol in every song. marcello's music is much more fun to listen to, and diverse. if u wana say he doesnt use the same licks, then u havent listened to much yngwie.
