World Premiere!

Here is the new My Dying Bride video, for the first single "Deeper Down". Taken from their forthcoming album "A line of deathless kings".

The video is about a guy that is so filled with grief and self pity that he sees the world as totally black, even though you get a hint in the beginning of the video that it's summer and all. Then his visions and view of the world takes over. And it just gets darker and darker from there. Is he about to commit suicide or just taking a swim? That's up for you to decide. I have tried working on a subconcious level with a lot of symbolism and metaphors, but still trying to make it somewhat documentary-like and believable. Have a look!

  • i did a strip dance to my boyfriend with this song... and i had white contacts on so it was like a demonic experence.... :P

  • do they have more songs like this ???

  • @PeasantofMercia @flipside799 If any music can make you cut yourself, it's MDB. And that's not an insult to MDB.

  • Sucks that it's a radio edit version of the track :(

  • Thumbs up if you wish you were that guy in the video, deeper down.

  • Very Nice! MDB rulez.

  • @flipside799 People don't cut themselves because of the type of music they listen too... well at least not the majority of them.

  • This shit makes me wanna cut myself, and i dont do that shit. His voice is nice though. Shame to hear it on something that doesn't spark my taste.

  • @Havocdk I hear it as one giant metaphor for lonliness and hopelessness.

Using vast, empty and violent seas almost synonymously with lonliness and dispair.

I don't sense any anger in this, just the feeling of "drowning" in an endless sea of personal torment.

An inescapable storm of self-pity and loathing slowly swallowing you, dragging you down through the currents of an unforgiving ocean of agony and painful memories, that you try to forget, but they still wash over you like a tsunami.

  • @AbstraktCannon no one should have a particular voice for anything. its his music and his art, and he sings the way he thinks sounds good, which is all that matters tbh.
