Tilbury Riverside Trail 2008

As part of Heritage Open Days 2008, Tilbury Riverside Trail provided an opportunity for local people to discover some of the more hidden parts of Tilbury. During the day a range of free family events were put on including: walks & talks, wildlife trails, mini beast hunts, guided tours of Tilbury fort and displays from local heritage & environment groups.

Heritage Open Days is Europe's biggest annual heritage event, co-ordinated by The Civic Trust to take Heritage Open days into areas of the country where there has been no previous participation, and encourage people to open up properties and run activities that reflect England's diverse history.
