Using Hexagon 2.5 to model a dress for Alexa 2. Step by step modeling instructions on how to model a dress. You can apply the steps you'll learn in this tut to any model, not only Alexa (I just used her for this vid because she is one of my favorite models)

  • Thank's a looooooooot !!!! very very very helpful !!!!!!!!! ; )))

You are just a first class tuto maker !!!!!

(you should do some about more complex texture to apply with Hexa...)

  • It's nice to see a tutorial that's easy to follow and covers all of the major steps from creation through final render.

Also, I'm glad you mentioned that Hexagon has a tendency to crash alot - I thought it was just me.

Very nice tutorial. Thank you for sharing!

  • I noticed you mention 'Poser', I thought this was a program for DAZ? I know most things poser are also compatible with DAz, some ppl call them the same, when technically poser and daz are different. I'm debating buying this to use with Daz, Carrara and Bryce. I'm new to modeling.

  • Thanx for the tutorial by the way :-)

  • Can anyone help me?

I've tried following the steps for this tutorial, but instead of Poser I use DAZ Studio.

When importing the obj into DAZ it's invisible.

I've read that there was (or still is) an issue where it would only show in wire frame view, but that's not the case here. I'm quite sure that there shouldn't be a problem with scaling. I've checked this loads of times now.

If anyone is familiar with this problem please help!

  • Excellent tutorial and very easy for a newbie I'd like to see you do a pants tutorial next.

  • where can you get that body from? tell me how and if there is a link for it can you please post it , thanks :)

  • This comment is for all 3 parts.

Great tutorials, easy to follow using intuitive modeling methods.

    Love the accent!

  • Excellent tutorial! I like your method of modeling. Hope to see more tutorials in the future. No one ever does any for shoes or gloves.
