@MrHoopla Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius? these two aren't better than cliff? I get that cliff died, but i would consider Robert Trujillio better than he is
@Serg13majik Better? Maybe. Considerably better? No. They're different styled, though. Cliff never used a pick. David does. Cliff used distortion and effects. David sticks to the raw sound of the bass, and rarely mixes it up. Cliff played his Bass like a guitar. David plays his Bass to its full potential. I'd side with Cliff on this one, but David is a very close second.
Junior is pretty amazing, I'd go as far as to compare him to Cliff Burton. He's definitely better than James Lomenzo, even though Lomenzo was a bass genius.
@sasukeuchihalb Battery's great too. Heck, everything Metallica did pre-Load was great. And some if not most of Load and Reload are pretty good too (King Nothing has some good bass, Unforgiven II is good, and Fuel is the closest they were to thrash then. And most of what I've heard on Death Magnetic is good, bar the clipping issues.

Highly underrated bassist but his tapping was a little sloppy. Still awesome though :)

@sasukeuchihalb Yes. My personal favorite is Fade to Black, with Creeping Death being my favorite among the thrashy songs.
