This is my 5th day with the tin whistle (Clarke Celtic), having lots of fun with it 8], playing two reels that I transcribed from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-pLklK-GCc (I shortened and modified them a bit just because it gets a bit boring without the accompaniment) I'm still working on the third one, and hopefully I'll be able to play it soon. Sorry about the quality, it was recorded with my laptop web cam.

  • When I made this video, it was over the holidays, so I could practice from 2-5 hours a day. Now I'm back in school I have much less time to practice, but I still find some time. I highly recommend getting one to at least whip out in random situations XD

  • Thanks, glad I could help. Unfortunately, I transcribed these solely by ear and did not write them down, but if it helps you out any, the first note is an F#, the rest I would get from the original video. Good luck and keep at it!

  • noice!!

  • 5 days!!!! I'm really impressed. And you also transcribed the music really well!

  • This is amazing for only five days of practice! I would love to see another video so that we can see how you've progressed. :D

I ordered a Generation whistle about two hours, so I'm excited. This video has given me some confidence, so I must thank you for that. :D

  • Fun melody!

  • very nice :D I will buy one and try out for myself when you do it, it looks so simple,, please tell me, how long do play a day?

  • Wow! Great job learning to play that good in just five days! I had problems choosing a tin whistle, but your video inspired me to buy a Clarke Celtic. I would love to learn the two reels, but I find them very difficult to transcribe it myself. Did you write the tabs down? If you are able to, I would gladly recieve the tabs so I could start practicing! Cheers!
