In 1932-35, Rockefeller and Standard Oil wanted to decimate the population of my country (Paraguay), to impose their financial interests above human lives and national sovereignty.
The Rockefeller family are the devil itself, they are destroying te world!!!

It's disgusting that everything he says is true, but it is. It's impossible to deny what U.S., British, and Dutch oil companies have done to people, countries, the environment, and our souls for lusting after this black gold. We're taking out earth's lubricant, too, and we're going to pay. Hell, we're paying already, due to more and severe earthquakes.

In 1940, Neruda had already experienced the ravages of oil power...that has lead us from one environmental disaster to another, from political manipulation to political interference to CIA-orchestrated coups d'état...and all the way to Iraq !
