Christ was under the old covenant that is why he was able to fulfill the law. He didn`t Break the law. We are now under the new covenant of Grace which looks to christ and his fulfillment of the law. If we look to the sabbath we come under the law and receive condemnation for our efforts. Not to be confused with conviction of the holy spirit which is how we learn from god.

@Acerrak there was not just the 7th day sabbath in jewish law in those days but annual sabbaths as well. Those are the sabbaths mentioned. And it does specify. These were kept to show belief in the Jesus before he came. When he died, they were no longer needed. In fact, keeping those would be NOT accepting that Jesus is Lord. The 7th day sabbath is God's law and does not change. The Bible says one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE!

That's Blasphemy!!! Jesus NEVER broke the Sabbath Day! He healed the sick and raised the dead on the Sabbath day. It is not breaking the Sabbath day to be kind to others, or love others. But to go out and selfishly work at your job, Totally ignoring GOD is breaking the Sabbath day. Loving and being kind to others is doing GOD's will. It is not breaking the Sabbath day to do GOD's Will on the Sabbath day. Working to earn a living or for yourself is mans will, that is breaking the sabbath day.
