Performance artist and poet Lady Terror reads poetry on a bullhorn on the South Side of Chicago. She believes in the healing power of poetry as therapy. Her community experiences high levels of crime and violence so what better way to contribute to the healing than to read Gwendolyn Brooks poetry at one of the largest African American parades in the country. This is an excerpted version of two poems from a longer performance of an hour straight of reading.
