Melena Smith riding Arctic B owned by Peter Gisborn in the ASPCA Maclay Finals. I was in 26th place going into the flat. Yes I used the same horse in the Medium Junior Jumpers too :)

  • Awh! You were amazing(: I am having trouble with my horses canter? Any advice? It is all strung out, and I'm noot quiet sure how to make him round out and collect.

  • @Ihartaddagio thanks! i have definitely had those issues! Do a lot of CORRECT transitions so that he can balance himself. Keep cantering until your horse relaxes and isnt leaning on the bit then only let him trot when he is balanced. I am not a fan of draw reins because I think they are a quick fix but they might help you to start off. If he is young it might just take time for him to mature and grow up so be patient! Hope that helps a little!

  • are you leasing him again for 2011?

  • @ponyhunter yep! until i leave for college in august so he will probably be available for finals

  • your boots are so shiny! what do you put on them? i love this horse, you two were a very good team, great job!

  • @KateNQue haha thanks! I just clean them and polish them with kiwi boot polish, but i do it every time i wear them so they stay shiny
