"Mr. Spider" by Doug Newman (original song)

"Mr. Spider" is a song I wrote that is on my album "Bugs and Critters" that can be perused at my website- dougnewman.com. I wrote it when I first came to Los Angeles back in the late 90's and it seemed like the only friend I had was a spider that was in my room. So I wrote the song and then it got hot and I turned on the fan and I guess that wasn't too his liking and so he evidentially packed up his bags and hit the road. I then wrote a song about that called "Goodbye Little Spider", which will appear here at YouTube too. This was recorded at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa, Monica CA using a Martin D-28 they have for sale there.

Thanks - that's a pretty creepy looking spider in your video. Can't say I blame you for it's demise as potrayed in the video. I suppose it remains unspoken what it's ultimate fate was and whether there is a possibility that the spider could escape from such a predicament.
