  • @saskwatcher - Only the 1964-65 season approached this disaster. Anyone remember "The Baileys of Balboa," "The Reporter" and "The Cara Williams Show"? All of which came from one Keefe Brasselle whose friendship with CBS-TV president Jim "The Smiling Cobra" Aubrey was one of many factors leading to Aubrey's firing on Feb. 27, 1965. And that's not even bringing up "My Living Doll."

  • This was likely the greatest programming error, no, Catastrophy, ever seen at CBS.That lineup was essentially the bottom four shows in the Nielsen ratings for the entire fall season.. Anna sailed back to Siam, Sandy went into recovery in a secret location never seen again CBS's owner Bill Paley intervened and insisted that MASH stay on the air in a new time slot. Van Dyke was moved to another night. The ratings were so bad for these shows that it made ABC programmers look skilled.

  • I was just thinking about this the other day. I had that on one of my CLG Megamixes.
