On a drizzly Thursday morning about 45 people showed up to start the occupation of San Lorenzo Park in Santa Cruz, California. This is part of the national movement to support the Occupy Wall Street protests that have been going on for about three weeks at this point.

  • I hear all the conservatives saying that the 99 percent have no clear goals or destinations in their task. There is a huge message that reaches into the heart of the human collective that is easy to discern. Excellent coverage of the issue, Kenrg.

  • @Rikotistic Thanks. The conservative pundits tell their listeners that there's nothing to the Occupy/99% stuff, because if they actually told the truth about it, their listeners would join the occupation.

  • Now my lip hurts.

  • @FreidasGarden Sorry, I didn't mean to hit you so hard.

  • My ol stompin' grounds....

    PEACE!

  • @Spacemonkeyone You must come by and stomp some more sometime.

  • Anyone attempting to unlawfully close a bank account (with any bank) will be summarily refused, unless you agree to the forfeiture of your rights as a customer in good standing.

If you refuse to comply with the rules set forth by FDIC insured banking institutions, you may be subject to fines or arrest by local law enforcement and may also risk losing all account holdings, including but not withstanding the sum total of cash retained by the banking institution, all credit, debit and CD annuities.
