http://www.therenegadehealthshow.com - Last night, I spoke with Glen Collelo at his cafe in West Haven...

I figured it would be fun to show you some clips and give you the raw food superfood smoothie recipe that Glen made during the "show and tell"!

We also talk about almond milk as well as where you can get your plant proteins as a vegan or raw foodie.

(For those of you who've asked questions, I'll get to 'em next week!)

  • What I love most about smoothies is that the sky is the limit...There are so many options and with a little creativity and know how, the possibilities are endless...Hey, it's a smoothie world and the sooner we know that, the better.

  • my smoothie is

    -coconut milk

    -unsweetened hemp milk

    -chia seeds

    -carrot

    -kefir

-2 tbsp Omega Swirl, Strawberry Banana, Barlean's

    -5 ice cubes

It's the closest thing to sweet I found that works with candida.

  • I'm ov'N the chia too brother!

  • We are similar I really want a vitamix too but also heard chewing is important my smoothie is above

  • nice I like almond milk too hemp milk is cool too

  • My kick ass smoothie is: young coconut (water+meat) raw cacao powder, maca powder, soaked chia seeds, soaked goji berries, raw shelled hemp seeds, bee pollen, Raw organic honey, sometimes organic banana and sometimes green powder (green vibarance but I never did much research for a green powder so let me know if you have one you love) raw aloe vera is amazing too!

  • WOW all your smoothies sound delicious. Try my favorite recipe: coconut water, beets, celery, carrots, kale, apple, banana, dulse, goji berries, hemp powder, flax powder, and last but not least, ginger root!!! Yum Yum Yum (add some cayenne and or cinammon to taste)
