There are relatively few recorded live performances of the early rock and roll greats, except those which PBS has put together for special airing on their network, and I suppose this might fall into that category. "Shoobie Doobie" was originally recorded by Rosco Gordon in October of 1956 at Sam Phillip's Sun Records Studio, the same studio that launched Elvis. Soon after the recording, Rosco and his band toured South America and the Caribbean backing the Platters for most of 1957. This live performance of "Shoobie Doobie" gives us some idea of what Rosco sounded like live back in his heyday, and it's an all-around fun sound.

this is no rock'n roll but a slow boogie woogie with some rythem & blues influences. But still a great song. thanks for the post.
