coen brothers' remake was absolute shit. I hated every second of it

One of the best movies of all time,shame i found out John Wayne (marion) was a first rate coward draft dogeing shitbag,more yellow than a banana or a chinaman with jaundice.typical all American hero !!!

@thajaxman "Gritty" is precisely the word! I've seen a lot of comments on Youtube proclaiming the superiority of one version, usually to the detriment of the other, but you're dead right; both versions are very good, enjoyable films and it just comes down to personal preference which one's your favourite (I prefer the Coen bros. one whereas my dad prefers the original, for example!)

@galti111 Yep, I agree. I've since seen the Coen brothers' version and I prefer it to this one. Both are good but the Coens' feels more... gritty.

@UkeMan1000 Really? One of the best of all time? Well, I wouldn't go that far. But I definitely enjoyed both this one and the Coens' remake.
