  • @magicreader1 Awesome info. For years, I could only imagine what was going on during this concert.  I could hear the chatter, commotion, etc., but was never certain what was going on. Tell me, where did you get this info?

  • this tune is arguably the first pure bebop composition. Bebop of course had been around for about a year or so, maybe longer, but Parker wrote this tune specifically for bebop. That was new.
