The Duluth aerial lift bridge is located across the canal that is the main entry to the Duluth harbour from Lake Superior. There is a free museum and visitor centre near the bridge with interesting displays about the bridge, harbour and ships and has video display that can be viewed 24/7 that notes ship arrival/departure times. The ship 'Paul R. Tregurtha' seen here is said to be the largest ship on the great lakes at 309m/1013'. She is a bulk self-loader.
