  • Dang, with that train you could have a pub crawl in Shanghai and make it back to Wuxi for few before bed. You guys have it easy there now. Enjoy. All of us back in the states miss it...a lot. Ronnie, give me a Coopers!

  • I don't ever want to leave. Wuxi is an amazing planet. Tsing Tao for me. Yi ping. So you know Ronnie, eh? Good mate. FYI, the building the Australian Pub is in is slated for demolition (any day now), so Ronnie's will be relocating - probably temporarily to Bolters.

Thanks for the comment, I'll tell Ronnie tonight that someone gave him a shout.

  • @gonzothegreat65 - A little over an hour - very fast.

  • how fast from Wuxi to Shanghai?

  • Ronnie will remember me. Tell 'em Russ the Muss and Meina say hi. And thanks for the shout back. Miss it there so much.

  • That makes sense.

  • most Chinese travel in high-speed.

  • You forgot that China has 1.3billion ppl. Sure, a flight seems more efficient time wise. But only a small portion of the population can afford flight tickets. And building airports and buying planes cost even more...Building a fast track is the way to let

  • I have to agree with you, flying is cheaper in China compared to the amount of time added with money wasted on a train. Although, I did take train rides between cities that are close-by. The last time was during 2007 summer, and from Shanghai to Hangzhou (like around 2 hours) on these trains cost about $20 US dollars I think.

  • The distances in china are bigger. In Japan the Megacities are very close to each other. Its more profitable. Isn't flying cheaper on a long distance? Thats the way in germany. How much cost the fast track train tickets in china?
