  • Your video response is not only disrespectful, it's very one-sided. Regardless of how you feel, you should always respect the opinions of others, even if clashes with your own beliefs. I can sense the anger and frustration in your voice and attitude which is not only unhealthy, but proves how unfair and disrespectful you are to Angela (and the GLBT community.)

  • @kereokacola Just because you say I was disrectful does not make it so. Please tell me how you came to this conclusion. Of course my video is one sided! How could it be otherwise? I wonderful if you make the same complaint to homosexuals who make videos in defence of their homosexuality. Yes, I am angry and frustrated at those who distort truth and defend the undefensable. This is not certainly not an unhealthy trait and neither does it show me to be unfair to anyone.

  • @Papasmurph4 The bible is not scientific proof nor should it be used as a book of reference. It's fine to have your own beliefs, but quit trying to shove them down the throats of others. We as people should respect our differences, not crucify them as you are doing. Get a life and stop trying to ruin everyone else's.

  • @kereokacola True, the Bible is not a book of science. However, there is nothing in it that contradicts anything science has shown to be true through the scientific method. What the scriptures teach regarding homosexuality -- that it is against nature (Rom 1:24-27) -- is absolutely true. You sir/madam are an angry person and are very disrespectful. Homosexuals are already ruining their lives. Helping them to turn from their sin to the light may be painful for them, but it will save their lives.

  • @Papasmurph4 The study I referenced which, is from the National Institutes of Health, shows that genetics plays some role. To what extent is unknown but the study does not stand in contradiction to what is stated in your APA reference. In any event, its origin is irrelevant to the question of its "rightness" or "wrongness." After all, religious affiliation, for example, is *chosen* (modulo with familial influence) yet doesn't absolve it from our ethical considerations.

    Cheers

  • @poolerboy0077 What I said is correct, there is no study which proves that homosexuality is genetic.Yes, you would like for me to say "solely genetic" but where is the study which proves that genetics has anything whatsoever to do with homosexuality? To the frustration of homosexual apologists, such studies simply do not exist. I originally brought this point up because Angela brought it up in her post, which she appears to have removed.

  • @Papasmurph4 You should have written your response to say "solely" genetic. Neither the study referenced nor I said anything about one trait causing the phenomenon. In any event, while the etiology of any orientation may be interesting scientifically, I see no relevance in bringing it up in the context that you seem to be most interested in which is morality. That something is a choice, biological or other is a little more than irrelevant to the topic, making your challenge futile.

  • What the link shows is that nothing has been discovered by ANY study proving that the cause of homosexuality is genetic. No such study exists. including the one that you referred to. If one did, the APA would have shouted it from the rooftops.

  • @Papasmurph4 Your link doesn't rebukes what was found in the study. All it says is that no one factor has been shown to be its sole cause. That's true but only because most traits are polygenic, meaning they are due to various genes (eye color, diabetes, etc.). This is why your challenge to come up with a "gay gene" is a bad one, because it assumes the trait is monogenic. That I cannot isolate a sole diabetes gene that will give you that phenotype does not mean there's no evidnece of genetics.

  • @poolerboy0077 his old study actually proved nothing regarding whether or not there is a genetic reason behind homosexuality. If you are really interested in the current thought from the godless about whether or not their is a homosexual gene go to the APA site (apa.org/topics/sexuality/orientation.aspx) and click on the numeral 4.
