You actually don't have to unscrew anything to reset the phone. Place the headset firmly in the base unit, then unplug the power cord from the back of the base unit. Wait about a minute. When you replug the power cord, the unit will reset.

seems like it wouldn't work to hold the little screw head with your nail while you try to screw it back in, but it worked the first time! little eyeglass screwdriver worked great!
