Class with Mme Kharyia Maazin in Luxor

This is a class I took with Mme Maazin in Luxor when I visited Egypt in 2005. She is lovely, doesn't speak much English at all but is very smart and sweet lady. She taught me in her own modest home, funny how she's such a star in the bellydance world but lives so modestly! I learned a lot that day and she has such energy!

I was VERY blessed to meet the Maazin family in 10/87.

The gentlemen of the family blew me away with their drumming. and the daughters danced for us! We could not hold back and danced with them. It was a perfect experience!

This is so beautiful. I'm proud an dvery happy i'm going in october to take classes from on of the Maazin sisters, Karam.

The teacher who is going with us has learned the art of ghawazee dance directly from the sisters. I take lessons with her as well :-)
