Check out the Art Manager (search for Art Manager in the softwarecenter of gnome-art in synaptic) It has many more themes.

You're right, gdmsetup no longer supports the old login themes. Sadly it would seem the thing now works using the gtk theme instead

Hi. I'm the developer of Epidermis and I only just noticed your video. I've got to say your review is fair, lack of themes/pigments is the weakness of Epidermis. I need to get working on that.
For those who couldn't get Epidermis to run on Ubuntu 9.10, that bug has been fixed in version 0.4.1
