In August 1997, on the second anniversary of Dwayne Goettel's death, a Skinny Puppy tribute concert was organized in Houston, Texas at The Abyss nightclub. (article: http://www.houstonpress.com/1997-08-21/music/static/ ) This is Grave Wisdom as performed by the short-lived Derrighan.

We had a lot of fun doing this. For Skinny Puppy fans, I hope you enjoy Joey's programming. I think he did a fantastic job of balancing cover and tribute. Please notice his instrument selections, added whimsical flair and some of the different samples.

For friends and family - yes, this really happened. Hey, it was the 90's!

  • What's used for the drums?

  • @distortionhead37 I want to say we had an Alesis D4 rack, but I can't remember.

  • Thanks everybody.

I'm pretty sure that we used a rack-mounted Lexicon effects processor for the vocal distortion. I can't remember the model, but it was very nice in 1996/1997. Joey had it over there in the rack with the ADAT and other goodies.

  • nice cover you need more theatrics. i find cyro syrup cheap halloween make-up and cellophane are the winning party favors here. trully a very nice cover...

  • @mrrinnen Thanks a lot! Yeah, this was my first time EVER doing anything on stage. And each band only got three songs. If I could do it over again....

  • I hate the annotations on YouTube, so I won't use one... But did you notice the sample at 2:36? "You are in a lot of trouble, young man!!" Fun times.
