get some fucking talent, then you can comment the man is at the end of his career, I saw him at his peak doing this same song, the hairs stand up on your arms. Appreciate his music for what it is.

I heard that sevaral years ago elton, had some polyps removed from his thoat , if so this could account for the change in timber of his voice , as far as the song goes , one of the finest symphonic rock songs ever! set the record straight , this is a e. john, b. taupin collaberation , and what all the live versions miss is the fact that in the origonal the guitar parts are as important as the keyboard , very rare in an e.j. song .. that being said this IS 1 of his best

His voice definitely sounds lower here than in his earlier performances. I guess that's what time does to one's voice when you must strain it to sing along. Still, a great song by a super artist! And one of my all time favorites!

I prefer the cover done by dream theater but the original is pretty cool, and eliton did write the song so I guess no cover beats the original by principal.
