EDL defeated by Anti-Fascists

Some sections of the media and SIOE, EDF and BNP blogs and You Tube trolls falsely describe the Anti-Fascists who defended Harrow Mosque from the EDF on 11 Sept 2009 as mostly or exclusively Muslim radicals. Hundreds of people who supported the Anti-EDF protest were (like me) ordinary white locals, as well as trades unionists (from GMB, Unite, PCI, UCU and NUT), London Transport workers, Green Party and Labour activists, the Asian feminist group Southall Black Sisters (who actively campaign against extremist Islam), inter-faith campaigners and even a couple of local Tory councillors!

Large groups of black, white, Asian and racially-mixed kids from local schools like Whitmore, Bentley Wood and Cardinal Wiseman took part, and we saw Afro-Carribean, Turkish, Somali, Chinese and Asians (known to us as local Sikhs, Muslims, Parsis and Hindus) among the Anti-Fascists. Harrow Mosque stewards and Muslim elders circulated e-mails, leaflets and text messages appealing for calm, and you probably won't read in the media that Harrow Mosque stewards personally intervened to STOP the handful of fired-up youngsters who briefly chucked stuff at the police.

THIS VIDEO shows young Muslim men condemning the minority of trouble-makers, and stressing how much the Harrow Mosque protest had to do with things the media didn't show (people getting together, chatting and making simply friends), and voicing common-sense opinions on how British people opposed Fascism in WW2...
