This is my video for the H&H / D&H bursary video, Its a really great thing that they are doing by giving us young riders a chance to be noticed and heard. Its really hard to make a film in 4 minuits, there was so much more i wanted to put in.

Hi, my name is Rebeca Parry, I'm 18 years old and from Y Felinheli in North Wales. This is my 16.2, 10 year old mare, China, that my parents purchased as a four year old when I was thirteen years old. China was just backed when we purchased her and even though we have had our ups and downs, we are finally getting to where we want to be. We have learnt a lot a long the way, despite the lack of training facilities and trainers in our area. It might take us a little longer but I hope we will get there. It has been really satisfying to bring on a horse from a young age, working as a team and our partnership has strengthened over the years, which truly helps cross country! I would like the opportunity to use the experience I have gleaned from China to bring on another youngster -- we are currently in search of a three or four year old.
Our biggest achievement was last year, when China and I qualified for the Dengie Open Pony Club final. China had been off for six months due to injury and it was a long haul back to fitness. This was our second competition since return to work and one of the biggest tracks we have jumped. We have competed BSJA up to Newcomers in the past couple of years and we have just started eventing this season at BE100 level in the U18 classes. We have attended three BEs and in the 3rd event, we had a double clear. We have our first two points!
Our plan for the next twelve months is to compete at Novice level by the end of this season. We have two planned. Our goal by the end of next season, is to tackle at least one intermediate or 1* event. Over the winter we will work at achieving double clears at BSJA Newcomer level.
I am a dedicated rider, willing to learn and improve. Our area is a little cut off and riders do not get noticed or many opportunities like this. It would be an immense confidence boost if the judges saw some potential and believed in us. This would be an amazing opportunity for both China and me to develop and progress further and seek out top level training, to help us reach our goals.
Thank you for watching.
