I learned to play a dulcimer made out a cardboard box my parent's first colored tv came in and it had fishing line for strings. If you ain't as poor as we were, and can find a dulcimer made out of wood, haha, you'll be fine.
Most of the time the tuning is DAD or DAA.

Dulcimer is ok to start out learning to play? I play guitar acoustic and electric
but I was also wondering what the tuning is for a ducimer. Thanks
