Watermelon Madness!
How to turn a watermelon into a drink dispenser!

The first thing to do is to go our and get yourself a rubbermaid 2 gallon "victory jug" (about 10 bucks) or something similar, and a big old watermelon (I got the biggest one I could find).

Use pliers or a socket wrench to remove the spigot from the jug. It also has a rubber gasket on it that you dont really need, so just leave that inside the jug for when you want to put it back together.

Cut a hole on a relatively flat part of the melon as close to the exact size of the threaded part of the spigot as you can. Cut the top off the watermelon and scoop out the insides with an ice cream scoop. Stop once you get down to the spigot hole, and add a small vent in the part you cut off. Extract the watermelon juice from the flesh you scooped out to make the drink.

Install the spigot. You may have to thin the rind out a bit to get the nut back onto the threads, but once you do it should seal pretty good. Use the jug as a stand for the watermelon. Fill it up, throw the cover on, and youre ready for some madness!

Make sure you use rediculous proportions on your drink recipe, because if you don't it would just be "watermelon beverage thing" and not really "Watermelon Madness!"

I carved the words with a dremel tool. You can use a knife but you'll likely destroy your melon.

Also, we saved it and used it a second day by putting it in a plastic bag and filling it with ice overnight.

Nice idea! That's some practical engineering. When I first saw all the arrows on the left side of your graphic I thought that was gonna be the hard part. I've already got random crap on a table, so I guess I'm half way to making this thing, cheers!
